Conversions API Gateway for Multiple Accounts: User Management

Every host must have at least one admin, created upon set up of the instance.

The host admin can manage the users from the Users menu in the left sidebar.

Add a User

To add a new user, go to Users and click on Invite a new user at the right top. After providing the user email, select the desired user type, assign permissions and click Continue.



If SMTP is configured, an invitation link is sent to the user email address provided right after clicking Continue. An invitation link is also available to Copy and send to the future user.

If SMTP is not configured, Copy the link generated and send it to the user to accept the invitation and create their host account. Finalize by clicking on Done.


If the Invitation link for a user got lost, create a new one by clicking on the Edit button of the user and then Generate invite link on the box that opens.


Click Copy link and send the invitation link to the new user.


The new user will appear as Pending until they accept the invitation and create their account.

User Signup

Future users receive their invitation link and proceed with their account creation. They provide the email address used to generate the invitation link and a password. Please make sure users are logged out of the instance before attempting new account creation.


After clicking Create Account, they are redirected to the Conversions API Gateway dashboard.

Change the Permissions of a User

To change the user type/permissions of a user, click the Edit button for that user, then click on Edit in the Permissions section. If changing permission for an individual user for any type, choose one of the two roles (Host account user or Individual user) and confirm by clicking on Save.

Note: Changing a host account user to individual type will auto remove the Host permission for this user.





Reset a User Password

Every user can reset their password from the Users menu. Click on the Edit button for the logged in user and then the Edit button in the Password section:


Host account users can initiate the reset of other users' passwords.

To reset a user's password, start by clicking on the Edit button for that user. Click the Reset button in the Password section. Then, Copy the link generated and send it to the user to reset their password.

Remove a User

To remove a user from the host, the host account user can click on the Edit button of that user and then Revoke.

Confirm the choice.


Host Admin User Considerations

A host instance must always have an active admin account. To ensure this, the host admin user that created the Gateway instance is not able to delete their account.

What to do if the only admin of the host forgot their password? They can use the Forgot Password? functionality on the login page to reset their password.
