Today we announced several improvements that make it easier for users to understand who can see photos, tags, posts, and other content across Facebook.
As part of this, we have made a few minor updates to Facebook Platform. These changes will not break your app and do not require any immediate code modifications. They are:
user_photos
permission now grants you access to the photos that the user has been tagged in (previously granted with the user_photo_video_tags
permission)user_videos
permission now grants you access to the videos that the user has been tagged in (previously granted with the user_photo_video_tags
permission)user_photo_video_tags
permission will be deprecated after 90 days on Tuesday, November 22. Until then, requesting this permission will translate to requesting both the user_photos
and user_videos
permissions.
We have updated our Roadmap to reflect deprecating the user_photo_video_tags
permission.
