We hope those in the Portland area this week will join us for the second Open Source Bridge conference. As a co-sponsor of the event, Facebook will participate with more than 100 other presenters to discuss open source technology and culture.
Facebook engineers will be speaking on Thursday and will be available to answer any questions you may have. Here's more information on their talks:
Thursday's festivities will continue into the evening with Facebook hosting a local Portland startup crawl. We'll begin with a party at at Kell's Irish Pub from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Don't forget to bring your conference badge as it's required to get a drink! We'll then hand out maps with the locations of three startups on one side and a scavenger hunt on the other. After Kell's we'll stop in at the offices of JanRain, Puppet Labs, and Urban Airship, for beer and snacks. And last, but not least, from 9:00 - 11:00 PM the party continues to its last stop at the Wieden & Kennedy agency rooftop space with more beer (donated by Southern Oregon Brewing via Taplister) and desserts.
Keep your eye out for engineers in Facebook shirts if you have questions about our open source technologies, if you're building with Platform, or are looking for a job.
We hope to see you there!
