We want to make Threads the place where people, especially creators and businesses, share ideas and connect with new and existing audiences, around their interests and experiences.
In June, we launched the Threads API to enable developers to build their own unique integrations, and help creators and brands manage their Threads presence at scale, easily sharing inspiring content with their communities. In October, we introduced a set of improvements to the API and brought Threads to the Postman API platform to help developers get started.
Today, we’re excited to announce a few more updates to the Threads API, which will give people new ways to discover content, join the conversation, and measure success.
With the latest updates, discovering content on Threads gets easier.
It is now possible to reply to, repost and quote public posts or replies surfaced through mention or keyword search, directly from your preferred third-party publishing tools, making it easier to participate in conversations.
We added shares – the number of times a post was shared outside of the app – to the list of metrics already available via the API – views, likes, replies, reposts and quotes.
Our self-serve developer documentation, our sample app and the Threads API collection on the Postman API Platform are here to help you get started.
