Announcing New Developer Platform Resources

April 10, 2024ByJennifer Lin

At Meta, we are dedicated to building positive experiences for developers, businesses and the people they build for. As a part of this, we are committed to protecting people’s privacy and personal data - a responsibility that we share with all developers in our ecosystem. To support developers in this important work, we are announcing a series of new resources including the responsible platform initiatives hub and seven self-guided tutorial videos. Learn more about these resources below.

Responsible platform initiatives hub

Today, we launched the responsible platform initiatives hub—a centralized space for developers to explore Meta’s latest approaches to constructing a sustainable platform, fostering trust with end users, and generating value for third-party developers.

We recognize that there is a constantly evolving privacy landscape and are updating our processes with this in mind. On the responsible platform initiatives hub, you can find information on the principles that help us drive our process-related decisions, the work we are doing to streamline developer operations, links to relevant supporting material, and the latest news related to policy and compliance.

The new hub is meant to provide clarity on the different developer programs and processes that exist, including App Review, Data Protection Assessment, and more.

We are also excited to introduce 7 new video tutorials designed to help our developer community easily navigate the Meta developer platform onboarding and the requirements for maintaining access to data more quickly. These videos break down important developer programs and processes, such as onboarding, the Data Protection Assessment, and more to enable developers to get self-administered help for common questions.
