Android Experience

The following screenshots show the current flow for Rooms on Android devices.

Create a Room

  1. In Facebook Messenger, open the People tab and then select Create a Room.
  2. Click Share Link to open the sharing menu. Click Copy Link to add the link to your clipboard, or click Messenger to send the room invite to Messenger friends.

Web Experience

The following screenshots show the current flow for Rooms on facebook.com.

Create a Room

  1. Go to facebook.com and click on the Messenger icon in the top-right corner.
  2. In the Messenger tray that appears, click Create New Room.

Start a game in the Room

  • Click Play Together in the top-right corner.
  • A tray with the list of eligible games will pop up.
  • Select any game and click Start to open the game and send an invite to anyone else eligible in the room.

Join a game

When someone starts a game, everyone else in the call will receive an invite.

Exit a game

To exit the game at any time and return to the default call layout, click the X button in the top-right corner of the game player.
