On Friday, November 2nd, as part of our ongoing work to enhance privacy and security on the Facebook platform, we're implementing additional steps to our API release process, which may likely lead to a decrease in the number of APIs that we'll ship in the next few months. This new process may slow down the development of some Facebook platform tools for a small subset of our developer community. We plan to work with impacted developers to address how this process may affect them. This process will continue into early 2019, when we believe we will be able to increase the pace of our platform development. The app review process will continue for existing APIs, enabling developers to continue building new apps and experiences for people.
These are necessary steps to ensure we are protecting people's information. We want to thank the developers in our community who have been amazing partners during these changes.
