Web Platform Docs Alpha Release

We know that starting to develop for the web can be very difficult. Web developers are burdened with an abundance of choice — which technologies, frameworks and libraries should I use? — and lack good documentation about how these choices affect their users on different browsers and devices. We want to help.

Today, we are pleased to announce our participation in the Web Platform Docs alpha release. We've teamed up with Adobe, Google, HP, Microsoft, Mozilla, Nokia, Opera, and the W3C to create one place on the web where you can find all the information you need to be successful at building apps and websites. The docs on WebPlatform.org are aimed at developers of all levels, spanning a range of topics from how the Internet works to best practices for approaching accessibility.

As one of the Stewards of the project, Facebook has donated many of the documents on this HTML5 Resource Center to WebPlatform.org. Each now points to its WebPlatform.org equivalent. We encourage you to add to and refine the content we've donated, for good of the larger web development community.
