Enhancing the customer experience
We wanted to make it easier for our customers to share moments from their daily lives to the most popular social media platforms—Facebook and Instagram. Our customers were manually downloading edited images from our app and then uploading them onto social media. We wanted to introduce a way for people to share their edited photos directly from the PickU app to Facebook Stories and Instagram Stories.
OUR SOLUTION
Sharing swiftly
We added seamless sharing functionality by integrating with the Sharing to Stories platform and building prominent entry points for sharing images to Facebook Stories and Instagram Stories. We referenced the developer documentation on the Facebook for Developers website and finished the integration process quickly and easily.

Better sharing experience and growing brand awareness
By building with Sharing to Stories, we gave people a fast and easy option to directly share photos on social media. Since its implementation, we’ve seen more people sharing to Facebook Stories and Instagram Stories, which also helps grow awareness of our app:
- 1.8X more people shared edited photos to Facebook Stories and Instagram Stories (compared to before the integration)
- 4.3% increase in sharing conversion rate (people sharing from PickU to Facebook and Instagram)
- 13% decrease in time spent per share (indicating an easier time sharing to social media)
