THEIR GOAL

Attracting more users in APAC

Lomotif was looking to increase the number of people in Asia Pacific using its platform and wanted to raise awareness of its product. In addition, the video site wanted to integrate a solution that allowed its content creators to share videos to Facebook Stories and Instagram Stories quickly and easily.

THEIR SOLUTION

An easier sharing experience with a straightforward implementation

To broaden its reach and provide users a new content sharing experience, Lomotif integrated Sharing to Stories into its platform to enrich its sharing channels and provide users with the ability to share content easily and at their leisure.

The video site had a team across product, design, and engineering work on the Sharing to Stories integration for both Instagram Stories and Facebook Stories using the documentation provided by Facebook.The process was simple, and the team completed the integration, including confirming the scope of features, understanding the design guidelines, and implementing the code, within a matter of hours.

Lomotif then launched the Sharing to Stories feature for both Facebook Stories and Instagram Stories across iOS and Android.

Increased distribution of videos

With Sharing to Stories, now offers a quick way for its users to share their content to Instagram Stories and Facebook Stories. Between 2020 to 2021, it earned the following results:

  • 2X increase in daily average video view per user
  • 8% increase in daily average session length
  • 2.3X more people sharing their content to Instagram Stories and Facebook Stories
  • More than 80% increase in daily average views per user
