Lead Ads/Conversion API: can't get past 35% progress in partner integration, help needed

Hi - I have been speaking with 5 Meta Marketing Support Agents on chat and on the phone, but we were not able to resolve the issue. I was recommended to post it here, for additional developer help.

We have Lead Ads set up and already generated 500+ leads over almost 2 months. Leads are transferred into our CRM and we mark them with 3 possible events: OPEN, CONTACT, CONVERTED. At any time, at least 80% of leads are marked, never less. These leads are sent back to the dedicated pixel via conversion API, including their unique Facebook lead ID, the time stamp and assigned event.

The pixel overview in Meta shows that the data is received and it looks like it's counted correctly related to those 3 events. In the "settings" tab though, we are stuck at 35% progress (Wait for 7 days of CRM events; We are waiting for one day of valid events received from your CRM). We just can't get to the next stage of defining the sales funnel to start machine learning for better leads.

Can somebody with experience point us in the right direction, what are we missing here? Unfortunately I can only attach one screenshot here, so I chose the pixel event overview.
