I am suggesting a new feature for commenting. Currently, users can disable public comments on their posts. However, I believe it would be beneficial to also offer the option for users to approve public comments before they are visible to everyone.

By implementing this feature, the original poster would retain control over what comments are displayed publicly. They could review comments before they become visible, allowing them to filter out any inappropriate or negative feedback while still engaging with their audience by receiving feedback regarding their post from a bigger audience. Users can maintain a positive and constructive environment by filtering out unwanted comments before they are visible to others. Knowing that their comments may be reviewed before publication, users may feel more encouraged to provide thoughtful and respectful feedback, leading to richer discussions.
