Over the last 2 weeks, we've started to encounter an issue where Meta is automatically removing social posts that our players make from our games on the Meta platform. We have two social games on Meta, YoWorld and Fish World, and they both use the "share" feature for a few different things (eg. players share social posts to Meta from within our Meta games and then other players can interact with their posts, which brings benefits to both parties). Within the last 2 weeks, our players have started to experience an issue when posting or sharing to Meta from our games. Their posts are being removed by Meta for the following reason:
“It looks like you tried to get likes, follows, shares or video views in a misleading way”
Sharing and posting to Meta is a feature that our games have used for over 10 years and is a part of our community of players on Meta. Now, when our players try to use the Meta sharing features, they are getting removed, and at times, Meta is threatening to suspend their accounts. Please see attached images of what our players are seeing when their posts are removed.
If anyone has insights into why these kinds of posts are getting flagged or what has changed in the last two weeks around Meta's sharing policies, that would be greatly appreciated!
