We have an issue opening page post urls on mobile.
According to the developer docs the post url has the following format: https://www.facebook.com/page_post_id.
This is mentioned on the page below: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/pages-api/posts
However when clicking a link in this format on mobile, it does not open the post correctly. https://www.facebook.com/505043813029528_764942845725831
When using the following format the link does open correctly: https://www.facebook.com/100077026425574/posts/444281571482720/
Can you investigate why the documented format is not working as expected?
Please be more specific. What you mean by "not correctly"? You refer to opening with the FB app instead of using the default browser?
On both Android Chrome and iOS Safari mobile browsers the pageid_postid format redirects to facebook.com homepage if the user is logged in on that browser. If the user is not logged in, the redirect to the specified post happens successfully. This is on devices without the FB app installed.
Redirects me to that specific post just fine. Could be a different behavior though, if that page has some country or age restriction applied.
You should be able to reproduce this issue with the following steps:
- open the browser on your mobile device
- make sure the fb app is not installed
- make sure you are logged in on Facebook
- open the link below in the browser address bar: https://www.facebook.com/505043813029528_764942845725831
