I'm trying to test the embeded signup process our company wishes to roll out. We have a verified business account which is a tech provider.

So I have created a facebook app which I am using for the embedded signup flow, that is linked to the business account and configured for the embedded signup flow.

The bit I'm really unclear on is how I am supposed to test this, I have been creating a business and verifying a phone number as part of the embedded signup flow, I have been provding some random business name and a URL to a site, not a real legit businesses, just something to allow me to test. I can complete the signup flow, but within a couple of days, that account always gets disabled with message : "Business Manager profile does not have information that we need to determine whether your business complies with WhatsApp's Business Policy."

Surely I don't need a legit business in order to test this, I understand the error and disabling the account due to the information but is there no such thing as creating a test WA business account? really interested to know how have others tested this?

Everything I google seem to talk about test accounts and numbers but these don't seem relevant for testing a number registered via embedded signup.

Hello Dale, I'm actually experiencing the same issue. The ability to create test users is disabled, this made our work as developers testing the app so much harder. I need to test the onboarding process using the embedded sign-in. I already have a business portfolio so in the sign-in process I've added a new WhatsApp account. When done, the account was immediately disabled due to activity that does not comply with WhatsApp’s Business Terms of Service: breach of Terms of Acceptable Use. I requested a review stating that it's actually a test account and not intended to any purposes other than testing and waiting their response. Please if you, Dale, or any other one here know what's the best practice for testing the embedded sign-in and even to test the various APIs in my app using test users, please let us know. Thank you

Sure. Go to https://business.facebook.com/business-support-home/ . In there, click on "View my accounts", select the business portfolio of which you used to create the onboarding, scroll down and select the disabled WhatsApp account that you want to request a review on. At the top right of the page, there is a card saying "What you can do". For me, there is a "Request review" button where you can ask Meta to enable your account and that it's used for testing only,...etc. There might not be this button; its existence might be related to the type of issue that caused the disabling or maybe other factors like how frequent you request reviews. They did not reply or do any actions yet to my request though it's been several hours when I requested the review, however they said that responses might take up to 48 hours. I hope that it will work and I will get back to you Dale as soon as any results has reflected. Please let me (and us the community) know of any progress from your side. Good luck!

same problem here, glad to know if there are any workaround or some kind of simulator to do the code testing
