Unable to edit whatsapp template that has an image or document header

When trying to edit the text for a template that has either an image or document in the header or when I try updating the same template body text using the API endpoint; it seems as though the edit has gone through as I get a "success": true response from the API, however when I check whatsapp manager the template is rejected.

I then try edit the template to add the sample image/document but then get the attached error. Now the template is stuck in a rejected status and there is no way for me to add the required information to have it reviewed so that it can be approved (I have the same text on a template without an image that is approved).

"Business support" is useless as it sends me back to edit the template where I cannot add the image which restarts the loop...

"Direct support" has no category for this type of query so I am here to ask if anyone has seen this or is experiencing the same issue?
