We use an internal application to fetch ad performance metrics from the facebook API and inject these in to our data warehouse. This process has been running for a number of years, but recently it has failed with the message ’This endpoint requires the ‘pages_read_engagement’ permission or the ‘Page Public Content Access’ feature The Facebook ‘App’ which holds our permissions and provides our API key has ‘standard access’ for the pages_read_engagement, but the app dashboard requires us to verify we are a ‘tech provider’ to get full access. We are not actually a commercial tech provider but other organisations use our in-house built tools but we have been unable to make our case via any of the standard means. We’ve contacted support and been told to read the documentation and contact the specialist support team, but not how to contact the team. We have of course read the documentation. Any support would be gratefully received.
