Beta Access: Setup Quality API
1

I'm trying to get beta access to the Setup Quality API, but I'm running into the issues that we do not have a Meta Representative. We serve over 2000 webshops by providing our Conversion API implementation with our Meta app, and want to use the Setup Quality API to improve our customer's experience.

Is there any way I can get the Beta access without a Meta representative?

Gaining access to Meta’s beta APIs, such as the Setup Quality API, typically requires a Meta representative, especially for beta or restricted APIs. However, if you do not have a direct Meta representative, there are a few alternative steps and strategies you can take to improve your chances of obtaining beta access:

Steps to Obtain Beta Access Without a Meta Representative

  1. Join Meta Developer Community and Partner Programs:

    • Meta Developer Community Forum: Engage with the Meta Developer Community through the official forums or groups. Sometimes Meta team members participate in these forums, and you can get guidance or connections that may help.
    • Meta Business Partners Program: Check if your company qualifies to join the Meta Business Partners program. Being part of this program can provide access to additional resources, including potential introductions to Meta representatives.
  2. Reach Out via Meta Support Channels:

    • Use the Meta for Developers support portal or the Meta Business Help Center to raise a ticket explaining your business needs and how access to the Setup Quality API will benefit your customers. Highlight your reach and impact, serving over 2000 webshops, to underscore the importance.
    • Clearly state the impact of not having the API on your business and customers. Providing a strong business case can sometimes lead to exceptions or escalations.
  3. Apply via Meta’s API Access Request Form:

    • If available, fill out any access request forms for the Setup Quality API on the Meta for Developers platform. Include detailed information about your use case, customer base, and how the API will enhance your service offering.
    • Use the API Access Request Form that some APIs provide on the Meta developer pages. Even if it seems like a long shot, being thorough and clear in your request can help.
  4. Networking and Events:

    • Meta Developer Circles: Participate in Meta Developer Circles or local events. These circles are often attended by Meta employees who can provide guidance or help establish a connection.
    • Conferences and Webinars: Attend relevant conferences, webinars, or virtual events hosted by Meta where you might network with Meta representatives or other developers who have had similar experiences.
  5. Leverage Existing Contacts:

    • If your company or partners have existing relationships with Meta-certified partners, consider reaching out to them for introductions or support. Meta partners often have more direct lines of communication with Meta teams.
  6. Direct Outreach via LinkedIn or Professional Networks:

    • Use LinkedIn to connect with Meta employees who work in partnerships, business development, or API-related roles. Craft a concise and professional message explaining your situation and seeking guidance on accessing the API.
    • Look for Meta employees who specifically work in areas related to business tools or API access, as they are most likely to understand and potentially assist with your request.
  7. Document Use Case and Value Proposition:

    • Prepare a well-documented use case that highlights the value your integration brings to Meta’s ecosystem and how the Setup Quality API will enhance your solution. Be prepared to present this documentation in any interactions with Meta contacts or support.

Key Points to Emphasize:

  • Volume and Impact: Emphasize the scale of your service (supporting over 2000 webshops) and how improved API access would enhance conversion tracking and data quality for many advertisers.
  • Technical Readiness: Demonstrate that your team is technically prepared to use the API effectively, ensuring that Meta’s beta API resources will be put to good use.
  • Customer Experience: Highlight how the Setup Quality API will directly improve the experience for your customers, which ultimately aligns with Meta’s goals of enhancing advertiser success on their platform.

Summary:

While direct access through a Meta representative is ideal, leveraging community resources, formal support channels, professional networking, and providing a compelling business case are your best strategies for gaining beta access without one. Persisting through these channels while clearly demonstrating your value to Meta’s ecosystem will improve your chances.
