App was reviewed and is live but still doesn't work (except for Admins/Testers)

Since may 2024 we are trying to create a Facebook App for usage within our WordPress plugin. We have a plugin which allows users to connect their Facebook pages and then display reviews from their pages on their WordPress website.

For this we needed 2 permissions: pages_show_list and pages_read_user_content.

The initial setup of the app was quite simple and the usage of the Graph API is super easy. Development was done in a matter of days. But after that, the real journey began.

We tried to let FB review our app. Just 21 reviews later (without changing our code but instead re-recording the screencast a dozen times, creating fake facebook users for testing since the test user functionality was deactivated by FB a few month ago and other setbacks like reviewers plainly ignoring our descriptions, sometimes having a valid use case and sometimes not even though nothing changed...), our app got reviewed and we were able to switch it to the live mode.

We thought: finally, we have our own Facebook app.

But apparently it isn't that easy. Whenever a user tries to sign in with Facebook, instead of the usual login using the Graph API OAuth url (https://www.facebook.com/v19.0/dialog/oauth?client_id=xxx&redirect_uri=xxx&state=xxx&scope=pages_show_list%20pages_read_user_content), they get an error message, stating that Facebook is currently updating details for app.

This error is there since July 1st 2024 and no changes have been made. I checked everywhere and our apps permissions are granted, the app is live and the business which is connected to the app is verified. There is nothing we can or should do, so why isn't the app working?

Is there some way to contact an actual human at facebook? The only way we found to actually talk to somebody is when you have trouble with Ads (our guess is because a App doesn't make FB any money but Ad spending does, thats the only part which gets real support).
