I perceived that the hourly breakdowns, from the insights api, not is actually working correctly... I'm using the python SDK (but I'm not sure if the problem is the sdk, because the data is deliver, but clearer is inconsistently)

The way I came to this conclusion is by simple logic and sum. Hourly data delivered has discrepancy when summed, in comparison to the daily data when I pull from the same day. Another thing I would tell is that is poorly formatted the information deliver... I receive data from my time zone (brazil-são paulo) like:
" "hourly_stats_aggregated_by_audience_time_zone": "00:00:00 - 00:59:59" "

I receive two objects with the same hourly range, until 12:00:00, but no identification shows whether is morning or afternoon, which makes the data complicated to be useful in some way...

Have the data by hourly is good to understand better consumer behavior, it will be cool if the team could consider fix it.
