Subject: Discrepancy Between Facebook Campaign Results and GA4 Custom Event Tracking for Razorpay Payments (Website event)
1

Hi Meta Pro Team,

I'm currently running a Facebook sales campaign with the following setup:

• Daily Budget: INR 2000/day • Custom Website Event: razorpay_payment (triggered when a purchase is completed) • Reported Results: 70-80 purchases per day, with a Cost per Result (CPR) between INR 20-28 • CPC: INR 44 (higher than CPR, which seems unlikely)

However, I’ve noticed a significant issue:

• In Google Analytics 4 (GA4), under Traffic Acquisition where I’ve used "pc video ad" as a medium in UTM links, the razorpay_payment event shows 0 completions. • Google Ads reports are almost 99% accurate in comparison, but I'm getting no similar results from Facebook in GA4.

My questions/concerns:

  1. Could this discrepancy be due to a fault in my GA4 setup, pixel setup, or tracking configuration between Facebook and my website?
  2. Is there a possibility that Meta is showing inflated or inaccurate result values? If so, how can I verify the actual performance of the campaign?
  3. I have potentially wasted over INR 60,000 in a month on advertising without any recorded results in GA4. How can this be addressed and corrected?

I would appreciate your guidance in resolving this issue as soon as possible.

Amit
