Persisting Error with Privacy Policy URL in Meta App Settings
0

We're writing to report a persistent error we're encountering while configuring our new Meta application. The issue arises specifically when we attempt to save changes to the Privacy Policy URL within the app's Basic Settings.

Here's a breakdown of the situation:

  • Action: We enter our valid Privacy Policy URL, "https://www.cbot.tn/politique-de-confidentialite/".
  • Context: We're trying to save these changes to request advanced access for a specific permission within our application.
  • Error Message: Upon saving the changes, we receive an error notification stating: "You must provide a valid Privacy Policy URL in order to take your app Live. Go to Basic Settings and make sure it is valid."

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

  • Double-checked URL: We've meticulously reviewed the Privacy Policy URL for any typos, extra spaces, or incorrect characters.
  • Accessibility Test: We've verified that the URL is accessible through a web browser and the Privacy Policy page loads correctly. Request for Assistance:

Despite our efforts, the error message persists. We kindly request your assistance in pinpointing the cause of this issue. Here are some specific questions we hope you can help answer:

  • Is there a specific format required for the Privacy Policy URL?
  • Could there be technical issues with the validation process on the Meta platform?
  • Are there any additional requirements for our Privacy Policy itself that might be causing this conflict?

On a sidenote: Make sure you do include contact information/an address or similar, you don't even list a company name and the privacy policy refers to some other website.
