After clicking to like button for Facebook page doesn't happen nothing. Any suggestions?

I've added the Like button to a webpage outside of Facebook. I've followed the instructions here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-button/ However when clicking the button, nothing happens. It's supposed to Like a specific Facebook page.
