Just noticed that the old JavaScript plugin I was using on a few Google Sites now is just an empty space on the Chrome browser on Android phones. Others report the same thing on both Android and iOS browsers using the current JavaScript or iframe versions from https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/page-plugin on a variety of hosting platforms. On my Android phone, all three plugin versions render as expected if the browser is set to "use the desktop site". So the issue seems to be caused either by the Meta backend failing to deliver what it should to mobile browsers or all these mobile browser types having undergone a change that renders them incompatible.
What's your experience?
I am experiencing this as well. Calls to https://www.facebook.com/v2.4/plugins/page.php are redirected to https://m.facebook.com/plugins/page.php which returns an error "Refused to display 'https://m.facebook.com/' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'deny'". I can recreate this using chrome F12 developer tools and changing the device - the page plugin loads on an iPad but not a phone. I believe it has something to do with the UserAgent, not the width, because I can choose 'responsive' as the device and make the device wider than the iPad but it will continue to redirect.
Hi there!
Did you manage to find any solution to this issue? Could we contact Meta about this?
Thanks,
Mariana
