Error when trying to authorize Threads

I get the following error:
"Attempted to load Ent with id 123 as a FBType::TH__APPLICATION, which is incompatible. The actual type of this ent is FBType::APPLICATION. (EntID: 123)"
Where "123" is my real app ID.

I had the same error and the problem was that I was using the app's main ID instead of the Threads app id (which is a different id).
When you go to App Settings > Basic the app's main id is at the top but if you keep scrolling down you'll see the "Threads App ID" and "Threads App Secret".
