Instagram API tag notification issue users not receiving notifications when tagged via API

Hi everyone,

We're using Make.com to automate replies to comments on our Instagram posts via the API. Despite our efforts to ensure that the automation tags the commenter, they are not receiving notifications about the replies.

Has anyone encountered this issue or have any insights on what might be causing this problem? Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Hey,

Thanks for your response. I appreciate the suggestion to reach out to the third-party service for support. However, I believe the issue might not be with Make.com but rather with how the Instagram Graph API handles notifications for tagged users. Despite our efforts to tag commenters via the API, they are not receiving notifications, whereas the same action performed through the Instagram frontend works as expected.

Could there be limitations or specific configurations within the Graph API that might be causing this discrepancy? Any insights or suggestions from those familiar with the API would be greatly appreciated.

Like I said, ask that 3rd party for support, especially because you pay them, not FB.

I'm also having same issue. When the user tag somenone on image via API, tagged person won't received any notification, but they tagged correctly.

Also, when user tag someone on post descrption the tagged person received notification as expected.
