Helping build the next generation of social apps in Europe

As part of our ongoing efforts to engage with developers locally, we are partnering with Seedcamp, an early stage micro seed investment and mentoring program, to help encourage and support startups in Europe who want to build social apps and websites.

Today, at Facebook HACK: Berlin, we announced that we will now provide product, technical and design resources to support new Seedcamp companies interested in working with us to build deeply social products, whether a website, mobile app, or an App on Facebook.com. These companies will have priority access to our technologies, programs and upcoming beta features.

This expands on the work Seedcamp and Facebook have done over the past two years through the Seedcamp mentorship program at events and during the US visits.

At Facebook, we are huge believers in what a small dedicated team can accomplish. We’ve seen European startups like Playfish, Wooga and Spotify build social products that transform industries, and Seedcamp companies like Psykopaint and Garmz are already making their mark. We are thrilled to grow the Seedcamp partnership to create new opportunities for startups in Europe.

Developers building social startups can still apply to the Mini Seedcamp Day in Berlin.
