As of May 5, 2025, developers can make more changes to their ads when duplicating via Ad Copies API. Top level creative parameters such as title, link_url, url_tags, body, and many others (full list here) can now be overwritten (edited) for the copied ad, whereas previously, all fields were copied over into the new ad and were unable to be changed.
This is not a breaking change, therefore no immediate action is required on your end. This is an ad hoc release to provide developers with more flexibility when copying their ads.
