Instant Experiences are a full-screen, mobile optimized post-click ad destination that loads nearly instantaneously from ads in Feed. Within an Instant Experience, people can watch engaging videos and photos, swipe through carousels, tilt to pan and explore lifestyle images with tagged products - all in a single ad.
Collection Ads let people move from discovery to purchase in a smooth and immersive way. Each collection ad features a cover video or image with three smaller accompanying images below in a grid-like layout.
As of May 1, we are rolling out the ability to have dynamic video as the primary media (cover image / video) on Collection Ads Instant Experiences, for ads created in the Marketing API. The top 4 pictures most relevant to the advertisement will be dynamically selected, and a template video Instant Experience element will be automatically generated.
This means, just like in Ads Manager, users using the API will now also have video, image and dynamic video options for the cover image / video.
