Join The 2018 Developer Circles Community Challenge

On May 2, Developer Circles is kicking off the 2018 Community Challenge, an online Hackathon. Our goal is to bring together developers and community leaders from across the globe to create solutions that help people build community and bring the world closer together. The first place winner will walk away with up to $30,000 in prizes.

Participants will be asked to create solutions that use at least one Facebook developer product, such as Groups API, Messenger or React. Bonus prizes will be given to participants who build the best solutions for bridging online connections with offline experiences, growing a community, and driving engagement within a community.

Developer Circles from Facebook are a great way for people to join a network of developers around the world, organized locally by members of the community. Developer Circles around the world are hosting in-person Build Days, where developers and community leaders can meet each other and build solutions together. Visit the Challenge website to join a Build Day in your city and check back as new dates and cities are added.

How to Enter:

1. Register for the Developer Circles Community Challenge here.
2. Join the Developer Community Challenge Facebook Group here.
3. Join your local Developer Circle to collaborate with other developers.
4. Check out the Facebook tools you can build with on the Resources tab.
5. Create a two-minute demo video that demonstrates your solution’s features and functionality.
6. Submit your project to the Challenge website by July 26, 2018, 2pm PST.
