Platform Updates: Operation Developer Love

This week we completed our rollout of Developer Alerts to developers worldwide. Developer Alerts makes it easier for developers to receive critical information about their apps via email and notifications on Facebook.com.

Upcoming breaking changes

As announced in September, the following breaking changes will go into effect on December 5, 2012:

  • Removing the Static FBML Page tab app
  • New policies for desktop web games off of Facebook.com
  • offline_access permission removal
  • New security restrictions for OAuth authorization codes
  • Graph API will return full Custom Open Graph objects
  • Stripping HTML from Page description field
